About Me

I have always known I wanted to do something in the creative field, especially writing, something I started doing from a very young age. I would script short plays and skits in school and at home, put together my own comic books, and would actively take part in debating, quizzing and theatre productions, not to mention essay writing and drawing competitions. I grew up in Dubai, eventually shifting back to Kerala, India, for my high school years. I got my first taste of journalism when I became chief editor of my school paper in Kerala. From there, I moved to New Delhi to pursue a bachelor's degree in History, after which I officially started working as a journalist, writing on lifestyle and culture, and designing content websites.

After stints with reputed newspapers and magazines (The Times of India, Financial Chronicle, The Week and Maxim to name a few ), I was bitten by the moviemaking bug.  I got a spot at the reputed Film & Television Institute of India, studying digital direction. This then led to jobs assisting on movie sets, directing and producing ad films, and eventually, me setting up a production house back home.

A few years later, I was invited to head up the brand solutions wing at ACK Media, India's oldest and most respected comic book publisher. Starting with brand work, I eventually took over all non-editorial creative work for the the two imprints owned by the company (Amar Chitra Katha and Tinkle Comics) as well as National Geographic, that we were licensing at the time. Then, in early 2021, I was offered chief editorship for Tinkle Comics, which resulted me in handling both editorial and advertorial content for the brand.

​My family and I relocated to Amsterdam in September 2022, when my partner got a job here as a data analyst. Since 2023, I have been working with Fairphone, the radical Dutch start-up that specialises in sustainable technology. I'm currently the in-house creative strategist and copywriter, handling editorial strategy and managing copy requests across the board.

I started dabbling in stand-up comedy in 2017, hitting the open mic circuit across Mumbai and then the rest of India. In 2019, I took part in Sterling Reserve Comedy Project, a stand-up reality show on Comedy Central India, in which I finished a respectable second place. Since moving to the Netherlands, I have become a regular on the European English comedy circuit, doing corporate gigs, featured shows, comedy festivals and more.
